Met Office forecasters have predicted the exact time winds from Storm Éowyn will die down.

The storm reached its zenith in the early afternoon (January 24), with winds of 90mph forecast in Glasgow city centre. The Met Office issued a rare red weather warning for wind brought by Storm Éowyn as Police Scotland warned those in the red zone not to travel.

Public transport is severely disrupted, with no First Bus services in Glasgow, the Subway closed and no ScotRail services running anywhere in the country. Glasgow city centre streets are near deserted as residents take cover.
