House Sinks Into Swollen Cimarron River Amid Oklahoma Flooding

The Cimarron River claimed a house in Twin Lakes, Oklahoma, on Wednesday, May 22, as the swollen river ripped the property from its foundation and into the fast-moving waters.

Severe storms, tornadoes and intense rainfall in Oklahoma over the past week caused the river to overflow its banks, according to ABC.

This footage, shot by local emergency rescue service Miller EMS, shows the house cracking and popping, before succumbing to the river. “This was scary to watch,” they wrote. “Miller EMS crews were on scene aiding local fire, law enforcement, and emergency management with this incident.” Credit: Miller EMS via Storyful
