Housing Estate Looks Like Millennium Falcon

From the ground, it looks like any other housing estate.

But from above this estate in Oakdale, Caerphilly, bears a striking resemblance to the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars.

An eagle-eyed Twitter user posted the image with the caption: "Millennium Falcon fan designed this housing estate in Crumlin."

The Star Wars official Twitter account, with two million followers, liked the tweet.

The craft was commanded by smuggler Han Solo and his Wookie first mate Chewbacca in the popular films.

The fictional spaceship was around 35 metres long and armed with laser cannons and missiles.

By contrast, the Oakdale estate features a church, rugby club and school.

The Millennium Falcon first appeared in Star Wars in 1977, and made a brief appearance in Star Wars Episode III in 2005.
