Howard University students held signs and chanted “no justice, no peace” during ex-FBI director James Comey’s speech at the historically black university’s convocation event in the Cramton Auditorium in Washington, D.C., on September 22.

A student activist group based at Howard, HU Resist, protested against Comey for his views on police and his handling of Ferguson, “saying”: https://twitter.com/HUResist/status/911256533417132032 he is “a white man trying to silence and overshadow the voices of Black people.” The group also protested the university’s administration, saying that “[Howard]chooses to stand for police violence and anti-Blackness before their students today.” Credit: Twitter/Abigail Hall via Storyful
