Huddersfield cyclists support Muslim group's Ride for Peace from London to Scotland
Cyclists from Huddersfield hopped on their bikes to support friends tackling a big charity bike ride from London to Scotland.
Six bikers from the town - Aamir Shazad, Sadakat Ahmad, Khalid Jawaid, Arif Ahmad, Dr Jajja, and Farooq Ahmad - joined the main group for a shorter ride as they passed through West Yorkshire. The Ride for Peace event was organised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association UK with the aim of promoting peace, community cohesion, and raising funds for the Beacon of Peace initiative, which supports both national and international charities assisting people with eye-related and other medical conditions.

Fatihul-haq, external affairs Secretary of Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Huddersfield, said: "Guided by our motto, Love for All, Hatred for None, we are committed to promoting harmony and compassion in society.
"Despite challenging weather conditions, the dedication and spirit of over 50 cyclists, including members from Huddersfield, was evident. The Yorkshire region, led by Mr. Sadakat Ahmad and his team, warmly welcomed the riders, and although they were fatigued, their smiles reflected their shared sense of purpose.
"The event concluded with a meal for all participants, and there was a genuine feeling that everyone had contributed to a meaningful cause. We believe this initiative will raise awareness and encourage others to engage in charitable efforts that benefit humanity."
