Huddersfield school bus crash leaves driver injured and children stranded
A car reportedly smashed into a school bus on Huddersfield Road in Meltham this morning.
West Yorkshire Police (WYP) have confirmed they were called to a "two-vehicle collision" in the road at just after 8am today (Thursday, September, 26). The bus involved is understood to have been transporting pupils from the local area to Honley High School.
However, police have confirmed that no children were involved in the incident. One woman was treated for her injuries at the scene.
Several parents have reported that their children have struggled to get to school this morning as a result of the incident.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "A two-vehicle collision was reported in Huddersfield Road, Meltham at 8.06am today. No children were involved and a woman received treatment for injuries at the scene."
