Huddersfield shooting: Shots fired in 'targeted attack' as man rushed to hospital
Detectives are searching for two cars after shots were fired in a 'targeted' shooting in a Huddersfield underpass as a man was rushed to hospital.
West Yorkshire Police were alerted after a 31-year-old man appeared at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary for treatment for a wound to his shoulder which appeared to be consistent with a firearms discharge on Sunday, November 10. The man was not seriously injured and was later released from hospital.
However, police were called in due to the injury being consistent with a gunshot wound. A teenager - a 19-year-old male - has since been released on bail pending further enquires.

The force are now trying to track a ‘21’ plate black Audi A3 saloon and a grey Seat hatchback which was spotted driving together, towards and through the Unna Way underpass in Huddersfield at about 7.30pm on Sunday, November 10.
It is believed that the vehicles then travelled in separate directions with the Seat driving towards Leeds Road and the Audi towards Northumberland Road and John William Street towards Westgate.
Detective Inspector Dan Bates, who is leading the investigation, said: “We believe the incident in which the man received his injury occurred in the underpass. This is being treated as a targeted attack and we do not believe there is a wider risk to the public.
"However, any discharge of a firearm in a public place is a serious matter and will be fully investigated to identify those responsible."
Anyone who can assist this investigation is asked to contact the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
