Huddersfudge shop opens in Huddersfield town centre after 'really taking off'
It's like Aladdin's cave but this one if full of sweets, chocolate and cakes.
The shop is called Huddersfudge in honour of one of its main products - fudge - and yes, it is handmade in Huddersfield.
The shop opened in the Imperial Arcade earlier this month and is managed by Paula McClory whose son, Robert Firth, is the expert baker and creator of the award-winning fudge which comes in all kinds of flavours such as black treacle, chocolate, lemon meringue, salted caramel, coffee, honeycomb, and the award-winning vanilla.

The vanilla fudge was awarded three stars in the Great Taste Awards earlier this year. Robert runs Cake Castle in Westbourne Road, Marsh, but has plans to expand further after seeing his Huddersfudge range really take off. It took him a year of trial and error before he perfected the fudge recipe.
Paula is very proud of her son and recalls his first forays into baking cakes many years ago - long before he started making fudge. It first started as a hobby but Robert has now been a cake industry professional for over a decade.
Paula said her son had put a huge amount of effort into getting the new shop ready, including working in the dark as the shop didn't have any electricity.
This week she told YorkshireLive that the Imperial Arcade is the perfect location for the shop. Adding: "Everyone has been saying that the shop is unique and different. We have been very busy every day."
The Imperial Arcade store has a range of fudge for sale, as well as cup cakes, and chocolate. The specialist fudge sells for £3.50 for a bag of three bags for £10.
