Huge blaze at abandoned East Lothian hospital as locals asked to 'avoid the area'
A major emergency service response has been scrambled to a blaze at an abandoned East Lothian hospital.
Nearly 30 firefighters are tackling the blaze at the former Edenhall Hospital in Musselburgh - a site which has been targeted by firebugs several times in recent months.
Police have also advised locals to close their windows and avoid the area for the time being as footage uploaded on social media shows huge plumes of smoke rising from one of the derelict buildings.

Police Scotland East Lothian added on social media: "Edenhall Road, Musselburgh is currently closed due to a fire. Residents are advised to keep windows and doors closed. Please avoid the area."
