Huge Edinburgh city centre ice rink gets finishing touches ahead of opening
The final touches are being made to the ice rink in Edinburgh's city centre.
The highly anticipated ice rink on George Square is set to open on Friday, November 22 from 5pm and workers were seen adding the final touches before the big day.
Marquees have lined along George Street where punters can warm up after skating as the Christmas events have spread across the city.

In the ice rink, pine trees can be seen in the middle of the rink and a big glitter ball is hanging down from the ceiling.
On Wednesday, workers were still putting the finishing touches in the marquees, ready for the crowds who are expected to descend.
For the first time this year, the Polar Ice Bar will be opening its doors on George Street on Tuesday November. It was announced on Wednesday, due to 'adverse weather' the Polar Ice Bar's opening date was delayed.
With a temperature plummeting to -8C, customers will enjoy festive alcoholic or non-alcoholic cocktails, served in an individual pre-carved ice glass, with the first drink included in your entry ticket.
Meanwhile in St Andrew Square, the Christmas Tree maze and the venue for Santa's Stories are getting set up and ready to launch on November 23.
The popular ice skating rink opens to the public with tickets starting at £14.50. The next day, the Christmas tree maze will be up and running until December 24 in St Andrew Square, as will Santa's Stories.
