Huge new JD Sports store to open in Essex city centre creating 27 new jobs

JD is set to upscale its presence in Colchester with a new store opening this week at Tollgate Shopping Park. The new store, which will boast over 7000 square feet of retail space, will officially welcome consumers from Thursday November 7.

JD offers brands including Nike, Adidas, The North Face, and Under Armour, plus a new range of brands such as Montirex, Asics and Hoka. Furthermore, the new store has created 27 new jobs in the area.

DJs are also playing across the weekend and visitors can also try their hand at the JD Batak game, with the shopper who hits the most buttons within the allotted timeframe winning a £50 JD voucher each day.

The sportwear giant’s signature JD Labs will also be onsite to give consumers the opportunity to customise any footwear purchased in-store this weekend. This includes different coloured laces, and different designs of lace plates and buckles.
