Huge lottery win for mystery ticket-holder in Ireland who scooped £76m EuroMillions jackpot

A ticket holder in Ireland has won a EuroMillions jackpot of 88.5 million euro (around £76 million).

Just one ticket matched five main numbers and two lucky stars in Tuesday's draw.

The winning numbers were 05, 01, 23, 17, 07, Camelot said. The Lucky Star numbers were 03 and 08.

The winner will need to contact the National Lottery in Ireland to claim their prize.

An estimated EuroMillions jackpot of £14 million is up for grabs on Friday.

Last year a family in Wales won a £61.1 million jackpot after feeling like it was their lucky moment.

Sandra Davies told her daughter to buy a ticket after having a successful operation in the US to remove a tumour on her parathyroid gland, after her partner decided they must be on a winning streak.

"He was convinced that we were the luckiest people on the planet and definitely on a winning streak after the success of my op so we called up my daughter, Courtney, to ask her to go and buy a ticket,” Ms Davies said.
