Huge six-car smash on Glasgow M8 near airport
Drivers are being warned of delays following reports of a six-vehicle smash near Glasgow Airport.
Traffic Scotland is urging drivers to be cautious on approach to J29 and J30 following the incident at noon on August 17.
It is not currently known how long delays are currently. However, traffic can be seen building up on the westbound carriageway.
Images show dozens of cars backed up on the busy central Scotland motorway. It is unknown if anyone has been injured in the crash.
A spokesperson for Traffic Scotland said: "The M8 between J29 and J30 heading westbound there is reports of a 6 vehicle accident. Drivers are advised to use caution on approach and expect delays. "
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers responded to a six-vehicle crash at Junction 30 of the M8 Westbound around 12.10pm on Saturday, 17 August.
"All vehicles were moved to the hard shoulder and a lane was briefly closed to allow for recovery."
For guidance, there were no apparent serious injuries.
