Huge Supercell Hangs in California Sky Before Hail Downpour
A supercell storm rolled through California’s Fresno county on Sunday, March 12, as the National Weather Service (NWS) issued a severe thunderstorm warning for central portions of the state.
Footage captured by Twitter user @54stormywill54 shows a huge cloud looming near Firebaugh. Hail can also be seen pelting a vehicle, as the NWS predicted “half-dollar-sized hail”.
“Honestly started to worry about damage to my car! This was the most severe hail (marble-size) I’ve seen in person,” the caption accompanying the video read. Credit: @54stormywill54 via Storyful
