It seems producers have wanted the blonde wrestling legend and his bleached moustache on the reality TV show for years but their pleas were always batted away.

However, they think they’re in with a better chance this time around because the Hulkster is keen to improve his public image and reputation after his leaked sex tape drama and legal battle with Gawker.

Hulk previously said he’d only join the show for a cool $50million but a source has told the Daily Star newspaper: “Hulk would be a big name for the series. He is known for being opinionated. They think he may go for it this year after previously turning it down because of the battering his reputation took.”

In 2012, Hulk was rocked by the leak of a clip from a sex tape made in 2007 on the gossip website, which showed him in bed with Heather Clem, the now ex-wife of his former friend Bubba ‘The Lovesponge’ Clem.

Hulk and Gawker reached a $31million settlement and the site was forced to close but he has not been welcomed back to WWE, after a transcript of him using the “N-word” whilst in bed with Heather – during a conversation about his daughter’s boyfriend – was released.

The multi-time world champion said he was sorry for his comments and he had been suffering from depression at the time, after his wife Linda filed for divorce and his son Nick was involved in a drag-racing accident while under the influence – which left his friend John Graziano brain damaged and requiring 24-hour care.
