A car wash in Hull is seeking planning permission after opening in July.

Earlier this year a car wash opened at 70 Anlaby Road, Hull, at the former site of a Hertz car hire. The car wash has now submitted a retrospective planning application for change of use from a car hire premises to hand car wash with installation of steel canopy.

A Hull City Council spokesperson has told the Local Democracy Reporting Service: "The use of the site as a hand car wash along with the canopy structure are currently unauthorised as they do not have planning permission.

"The current planning application (which seeks to continue the use and retain the canopy) has been submitted to try and regularise the situation."

Hull City Council will now decide if the retrospective permission is to be granted.
