Hull City fans set for another memorable trip as Tim Walter's pre-season plans take shape

Hull City are preparing to take fans back to Turkey later this summer as the club prepare for their first pre-season under new head coach Tim Walter.

City will allow a number of selected supporters to travel to owner Acun Ilicali's homeland for the third time since he took charge of the club in January 2022, and for the second time this year.

Fans will travel on the same flight out of Humberside airport early next month and spend time with the City squad as they step up their preparations for the upcoming Championship season which gets underway over the weekend of August 10 and 11.

Since Ilicali's arrival in January 2022, around 500 supporters have benefitted from their free trips to Turkey and that number will be swelled again next month, though instead of Antalya, the destination will be the banks of the stunning Bosphorus in Istanbul.

Full details are yet to be confirmed by the club with planning still ongoing but it's expected the trip will take on a similar theme to the two visits to Antalya in November 2022 and March this year when fans stayed at a nearby hotel but were treated to a host of activities, as well as being allowed in to watch training and see their side in friendly action.

It's expected City will play two showpiece friendlies in Turkey during their 10-day trip which will see Tim Walter and his first team squad based at Riva, the training centre of the Turkish national team, just as they did twelve months ago, before returning back to England where they'll tackle four domestic friendlies.
