Hull City roared to a third straight victory with a 3-1 win at QPR as Tim Walter's side impressively backed up wins over Stoke City and Cardiff City.

Having been battered in the opening exchanges and needing goalkeeper Ivor Pandur to keep them on terms, City went 2-0 up through Cody Drameh and Chris Bedia before Nicolas Madsen pulled one back from the penalty spot just before the break to end a frantic half.

Liam Millar made it 3-1 with 20 minutes to go after the Tigers survived a rocky spell to regain their two-goal lead and seal a hugely important, and impressive victory.

Here's how Tigers reporter Barry Cooper rated the players at Loftus Road on Tuesday night...

Ivor Pandur: Made four big saves in the opening six minutes as City were almost blown away, the second and third in particular were very, very good. Could do nothing about the penalty. Without him, City don't win this game and for that, he deserves top marks. 10/10

Cody Drameh: Shaky start allowing Dembele through when he stopped for what he thought was handball. Scored a great goal to fire his side 1-0 up, but then penalised somewhat harshly for the free-kick which led to their penalty. 7/10

Sean McLoughlin: On his 100th league appearance for the Tigers, had to do his fair share of work in a torrid opening for City, took a shot smack in the face early in the second period. Booked seconds after Jones. 7/10

Alfie Jones: A tough first half of the first half as City toiled under heavy pressure. Booked in the second half, but did his job with the class you'd expect. 7/10

Lewie Coyle: Needed his goalkeeper to get him out of bother early on with a big save to deny Saito, set up Bedia for the second Tigers goal and then penalised for the penalty before the break. Eventful. 7/10

Regan Slater: Rocky opening to the game but found his way as it wore on. Important interception early in the second period. Replaced before the hour. 6/10

Xavier Simons: Picked up an early booking for a foul outside the box on Koki Saito. Slow start to the second, looked more comfortable when Zambrano came on. Came close to scoring. 6/10

Kasey Palmer: Buzzes around all over the shop but lacked conviction in his work around the edge of his own box, though he wasn't the only one in a shaky first period, and was replaced along with Slater before the hour. 6/10

Mohamed Belloumi: Lively in the first half, could have had a penalty of his own just before the break. QPR just couldn't deal with him. 8/10

Liam Millar: So good to watch. Goes forward at every attempt and was a real threat in the first period. Got the goal his display deserved. 8/10

Chris Bedia: Got his first Tigers goal from open play to put City 2-0 ahead in the opening period. Worked tirelessly up top. 8/10

Subs:

Oscar Zambrano (for Slater 58): Made a real difference in the middle of the park when he came on, won a crunching tackle and almost scored. 7/10

Marvin Mehlem (for Palmer 58): Looked bright and breezy when he came on, and almost set up a fourth with a fizzing cross. 7/10

Mason Burstow (for Bedia 86): Fashioned an opening for himself in injury time after coming on to replace Bedia. 6/10

Steven Alzate (for Millar 92): Another useful couple of minutes as he builds up his fitness. 6/10

Abdus Omur (for Belloumi 92): Relegated to the bench at Loftus Road, and a little cameo with the game won. 6/10
