Experienced Hull City midfielder Jean Michael Seri could be the next Tigers star to leave the MKM Stadium this summer as a huge period of change continues following the appointment of Tim Walter.

The Ivory Coast's Africa Cup of Nations-winning hero is attracting strong interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and the 32-year-old is understood to be considering a switch, Hull Live understands.

Seri was given extended time off by City over the summer but was expected to return to Cottingham on Monday where he was set to meet Walter for the first time, following the German's appointment as manager in the aftermath of Liam Rosenior's departure ahead of their pre-season trip to Turkey on Wednesday morning.

Like with Ozan Tufan, Jaden Philogene and Jacob Greaves before him, City will not stand in Seri's way should the popular Ivorian opt to make the move to the Gulf, in what would be a significantly beneficial move financially to the former Fulham man.

Should a deal be done for Seri, who has one year left on his MKM Stadium deal, the Tigers will actively look to seal a replacement for a player who has been a pivotal figure since his arrival two summers ago with plans already afoot to strengthen their midfield ranks.

Since arriving amid a blaze of excitement in June 2022, Seri has amassed 76 appearances in the Black and Amber, scoring twice and picking up six assists, as well as playing a key role in helping his country emerge from the threat of elimination in the group stages to winning AFCON on home soil in January.
