Hull court list - Ten offenders named and shamed
Violent offenders and shop thieves have been sentenced by magistrates in Hull in recent days.
While some cases were adjourned to a later date and others sent to Hull Crown Court, many offenders from Hull and East Yorkshire were still given prison terms, suspended sentences, community orders and hefty fines for their crimes last week.
Here are ten people who have been sentenced at Hull Magistrates' Court.

Alec Bache, 46, of no fixed abode indicated pleas of guilty to 27 counts of theft from a shop in which he stole numerous items worth more than £1,170 from various stores. He also indicated a plea of guilty to the theft of a pedal cycle and pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoke unlawful violence. He was jailed for 14 weeks.
John Parminter, 53, of North Street, Bridlington indicated pleas of guilty to the assault by beating of an emergency worker, namely a police sergeant, the common assault of an emergency worker, namely a police constable, and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour thereby causing that or another person harassment, alarm or distress in an incident that was racially aggravated. He was jailed for 18 weeks.
Kerry Smyth, 30, of Spring Bank West, Hull indicated pleas of guilty to five counts of theft from a shop in which she stole £215 worth of meat and £130 worth of confectionary from Sainsbury's. She also pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress. She was jailed for 12 weeks.
Carl Gallagher, 34, of Kirkgate, Bridlington was found guilty of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour thereby causing that or another person harassment, alarm or distress, in an incident that was racially aggravated. He also pleaded guilty to threatening to damage or destroy property in which he threatened the victim that he would set fire to his van and damage his windows. He was given a one-year suspended sentence order and a two-year restraining order, and was ordered to pay £650 in costs and a £187 victim services surcharge.
Peyton Banks, 27, of Yeadon Garth, Hull indicated pleas of guilty to the assault by beating of an emergency worker, namely a police constable, and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour thereby causing that or another person harassment, alarm or distress in an incident that was racially aggravated. He was given a community order and ordered to pay £200 in compensation.
Brad Morley, 26, of Castle Close, Leconfield pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary other than dwelling in which he entered the Cornerhouse pub in Beverley with intent to steal and entered a Co-op store and stole cash and items. He was given a community order and ordered to pay a £114 victim services surcharge and £85 in costs.
Steven Stamford, 51, of Enfield Mews, Beverley indicated pleas of guilty to three counts of fraud by false representation in which he used a bank card which did not belong to him to buy alcohol, tobacco and other items for himself. He was fined £70 and ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £28 victim services surcharge.

Dean Inglis, 39, of Peach Tree Court, Hull indicated a plea of guilty to harassment and breaching a restraining order. He was jailed for six weeks.
Thomas Hughes, 40, of no fixed abode indicated a plea of guilty to burglary other than dwelling in which he entered a garden shed and stole a pedal cycle worth £300 and a saw worth £100. He was jailed for four months.
Neil Key, 51, of Ilchester Close, Hull pleaded guilty to two counts of theft from a shop in which he stole jars of coffee worth £31 from One Stop and blocks of cheese and Ben & Jerry's ice cream worth £23 from Heron. He was ordered to pay a fine of £80 and £56 in compensation.
