Former Hull FC player Brian Clixby has sadly passed away. The hooker, who was also capable of playing in the loose-forward position, joined the club in 1956 from the local junior scene.

He made his club debut in April 1961 against Leeds and made a total of 65 appearances for the club, featuring alongside the likes of club legends Mick Scott, Clive Sullivan MBE, and Arthur Keegan, not to mention the greatest ever, Johnny Whiteley MBE.

Clixy's heritage number is 602. He joins former players Chris Davidson, Charlie Birdsall, and Terry Lynn, who have sadly passed away this year. The club held it's annual memorial service last Saturday morning and will play a tribute video to all former players and supporters who have passed away over the last twelve months prior to Saturday's final game of the season against Catalans Dragons. The tribute will be available on the MKM Stadium's big screens.
