Hull FC have learned the outcomes of Franklin Pele's independent tribunal hearing and Ligi Sao's appeal this Tuesday evening. Both players were sent off in last Thursday's derby opener.

Pele was subsequently handed a Grade E Head Contact charge, which carries 4-6 matches. However, the prop forward challenged the grading and, therefore, has only been banned for three games. He will miss Hull FC's fixtures against Warrington Wolves, London Broncos, and Catalans Dragons. He has been fined £750.

The 23-year-old will return for Hull's round-five match against Leigh Leopards, with the Challenge Cup sixth round taking place the following week. That means he will be available for the Good Friday derby against Hull KR in what is set to be a spicy re-match affair.

Sao was charged with a Grade D Striking offence, with the club successfully appealing the decision. The Samoan international has had the charge brought down to Grade B, with the forward missing one-match instead of the original three games handed out on Monday. He will miss Friday's game at Warrington and will be free to play against London. He has been fined £250.

Hull FC accepted the two-match ban handed to Herman Ese'ese. The prop was handed a Grade D Head Contact charge for his sin-bin offence on Rovers forward Kelepi Tanginoa. Jayden Okunbor was also charged and fined for a late hit on the passer, but no further action was taken.
