Hull FC were edged out 24-18 at Huddersfield Giants on Friday night in a game that was there for the taking. The Black and Whites were in the contest, but ultimately, had too many missed chances to rue. Here are the ratings.

Logan Moy - Safe under the high ball, brave, and looked to link into the attacking line. Another sturdy account from the teenager, who scored his first Super League try late on and assisted another. 7

Tom Briscoe - His first half error came as a cost as Huddersfield got the field position to score their first try. Perhaps could have done better to stop Sam Halsall as well. An off night defensively, but ran the ball strong. 4

Cam Scott - His best performance of the season. He stood up strong on the right edge and was a threat with his running game. 7

Liam Sutcliffe - Went okay in the first half but didn't return for the second as he succumbed to a hamstring issue. 4

Harvey Barron - Was working hard and running the ball strong until he was taken off for a HIA. He didn't return. 5

Jake Trueman - Still easing himself back in after a lengthy injury. Some positive contributions, but there's still more to come, especially with his kicking game. 5

Ben Reynolds - Some bright moments, some incentive, and some wayward, but tried his best to get Hull clicking. He almost scored after backing up a break in the second half but unfortunately couldn't hold on to the ball. 5

Herman Ese'ese - Scored Hull's first try with a powerful charge. That's the norm now. He's having a fine first season at the club. Played big minutes and carried strong all night. 8

Danny Houghton - Doing it tough at the moment with a rib issue and was subsequently taken off in the second half. 5

Yusuf Aydin - Got involved early on, carrying the ball and working hard in defence. He plays big minutes and his engine is certainly welcome. 6

Jordan Lane - Saw a lot of the ball and tried his best after being moved to the centre spot. 5

Tiaki Chan - Left the field for a HIA in the first half but passed to return in the second half. He's fiery character and threw himself about, especially in defence. 5

Ligi Sao - Back in the middle in what was a rare start at loose forward. Some strong carries and offloads. 6

Brad Fash - Came off the bench and held the middle when he was on. 5

Morgan Smith - Thrown on with 25 or so minutes to go. Kept Hull going in their late surge. 5

Jack Ashworth - Looked to put himself about in limited minutes. 5

Davy Litten - Started the second half at left centre, but moved to the wing after Barron left the field. Went well and did little wrong. 5
