Hull Kingston Rovers' Jack Broadbent has been rewarded with a place as a starting centre in their Grand Final team after his semi-final showing against Warrington Wolves - and Robins captain Elliot Minchella returns at loose forward.

Centre Oliver Gildart was left out of the 21-man squad this week, while Minchella's return means that Matty Storton starts on the bench this time instead of the starting 13 - and Jack Brown is 18th man after being a sub against Warrington. Dean Hadley, meanwhile, is starting in the second row again, having impressively stepped in as loose forward in Minchella's absence during the semi-final. Minchella's return finally comes after a two-game ban for a high shot on Leigh Leopards' Matt Moylan, which Rovers could not overturn despite appealing.

In the 12 most recent Hull KR games, Broadbent has only been a starting centre twice - but he has said himself recently that it is his favoured position. He is an example of one of several Rovers players who were recently at clubs who were not challenging at the top end of the game but have now performed impressively and are on the biggest stage.

In the lead up to the game, head coach Willie Peters said: "Elliot comes back into our team and he's captain - he's very important to what we've done all season and he has earned the right to be in our 13 and our captain. We have the majority of our team available and that gives headaches but whoever does play has played an important part to get us here. It is a squad. Even guys that haven't played first team this year, they have helped to prepare the first team with the way they train."

Broadbent has shown his versatility in recent weeks by also slotting in successfully at full back and winger when called upon.

Hull KR team to face Wigan Warriors: Niall Evalds, Joe Burgess, Peta Hiku, Jack Broadbent, Ryan Hall, Tyrone May, Mikey Lewis, Jesse Sue, Matt Parcell, Jai Whitbread, Dean Hadley, James Batchelor, Elliot Minchella. Subs: Jez Litten, Sam Luckley, Matty Storton, Kelepi Tanginoa. 18th man: Jack Brown.
