Hull KR in key selection change with Elliot Minchella handed new role

Willie Peters has made a significant tactical change ahead of Hull KR's game with Catalans Dragons. The Rovers boss has made three personnel changes, but is the use of captain Elliot Minchella which is the headline piece of news, with the England international benched.

Joe Burgess has been recalled, given the nod ahead of Tom Opacic, who has been left out. Jai Whitbread and Matt Parcell are recalled after small injuries, replacing Jack Brown and Danny Richardson.

However, the standout news is Minchella's move to the bench. It is only the second team he has been used in the role under Peters, who also deployed him from the interchanges when the Robins played Catalans at the beginning of the 2023 season.

As a result, George King is given a starting berth, listed as a starting prop, with Jai Whitbread moved to loose forward.

Elsewhere, Burgess' return moves Jack Broadbent to centre, with Parcell returning to the bench role he has been used in for the majority of the season.

They take on a Catalans Dragons side that features Hull KR loanee Jordan Abdull, and future Rovers winger Tom Davies.
