Hull KR receive unexpected injury boost but one ruled out of London Broncos trip

Hull KR will be without Joe Burgess for their trip to London Broncos this weekend. The winger, who went off late in the Challenge Cup defeat to Wigan Warriors, failed a head injury assessment after the game and will therefore be unavailable for Sunday's game.

The good news for Rovers is that both Dean Hadley and Kelepi Tanginoa are on course to be fit, despite suffering injuries that forced them from the field last weekend. Hadley picked up a groin injury that saw him withdrawn in the early stages, while Tanginoa suffered a sternum problem.

However, both have been training this week and could be able to feature in the contest, while Burgess will only miss one game should he pass the return-to-play protocols in place.

"We were in a decent spot," Willie Peters said. "After the game we thought we could potentially lose three from the game, Joe was ruled out straight away but the other two we got better news a few days later."

"He (Dean) is training training, getting through the week at the moment, we'll give him until later on in the week to finalise, but he's on track at the moment. Kelepi is good, recovered and been training as well. He's in a good spot."

It means Peters will have plenty of options to choose from at the weekend, with Jack Brown, Jack Broadbent and Danny Richardson all available for selection after being cup-tied for last week's game. They take on a London side bottom of Super League but they come into the game off a win, after beating Hull FC last time out.
