Hull KR's play-off path now clear with play-off fixtures confirmed
The make-up of the Super League play-offs has now been finalised, with results on Friday night locking in the top six. Hull KR's victory over Leeds Rhinos saw them secure second place, while Leigh Leopards' win over St Helens ensured they earned the final play-off spot, leapfrogging the Saints in doing so.
The Robins needed to win to secure second, and that proved to be the case with Warrington Wolves heavily defeating London Broncos. However, Sam Burgess' side had to settle for third after Rovers beat Leeds Rhinos.
Meanwhile, the only way Leigh could secure a top-six finish was by beating Saints, with a defeat opening the door for Catalans Dragons to clinch the final spot should they have beaten Hull FC on Saturday. But Leigh's triumph means they now hold an unassailable advantage, regardless of what the Dragons do at the MKM Stadium.

It means we now know the fixtures and dates of the play-off schedule, which culminates with the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford on Sunday, October 12th.
The play-offs will begin next Friday, September 27th, with Salford Red Devils, who held on to fourth place despite defeat to Wigan Warriors, hosting Adrian Lam's Leopards at Salford Community Stadium.
A day later, Warrington Wolves will be in action against St Helens in a mouth-watering contest, with Sam Burgess' side having home advantage with a place in the semi-finals up for grabs.
The winners will play in the semi-finals, where victory will secure passage to the Theatre of Dreams. The first semi-final will be played at Sewell Group Craven Park, with Hull KR hosting the highest-ranked side to come through the quarter-finals.
A day later, on Saturday October 5th, Wigan Warriors will host the other winning quarter-finalist, hosting the lowest-ranked winner.
The winners of those semi-finals will then play for the big prize at Old Trafford. All games will be shown on Sky Sports, while the Saturday play-off games will also be shown on BBC Two.
