Humberside Police's X use is under review as other UK Police force quits the site
Humberside Police have confirmed that their use of X is under review following the news that another UK Police force has quit the site.
North Wales Police have decided to leave the social media platform as it is "no longer consistent" with the force's values.
X, formerly known as Twitter, has been widely criticised ever since the world's richest man, Elon Musk, bought it two years ago in October 2022.

During the violent riots seen across the country this summer, Mr Musk took to his social media platform to declare that "Civil war is inevitable" in Britain.
Mr Musk later likened Starmer's Britain to the Soviet Union. The Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer's spokesperson hit back at the Tesla and SpaceX owner saying Mr Musk's comments had "no justification."
After being asked if X remains consistent with their values, Humberside Police have told the LDRS the they are "in the process of conducting a review of all the social media platforms we use as well as others available to us."
The force's spokesperson added: "This is something we do periodically to ensure we are using the best tools and channels to engage with the people we serve."
