Hundreds of mystery bugs formed a long insect chain as they crawled the wall of a building.
The creatures were seen in La Union Province, the Philippines, on January 15.
Onlooker Sayma Rayma said it was ''amazingly how they were coordinated'' like they were following a command.
But despite being an outdoor enthusiast, Sayma has struggled to identify what the insects were.
She said: ''I don't know any species that do this apart from ants and they were too big for those.''
Sayma said the insects were filmed near her home in the remote mountainous part of the Philippines, some eight hours from the capital, Manila, by car.
She added: ''They were so interesting, so I'd really like to know what type of insects there were.''
