A suspected large scale cannabis grow containing hundreds of plants has been found in a old town centre bank, following reports of suspicious activity in the building.

Over 400 plants were seized in the raid by police on October 14 and October 15. The operation was found to be in the middle of the town centre at the junction of Norfolk Street and High Street East, Glossop in the old Barclays bank.

The Glossop and Buxton SNT's have since dismantled the farm and have started an investigation, as no arrests have currently been made in connection with the farm. The bank originally closed back in 2021 and has since been on the property market for let.
