Hundreds Evacuated as Wildfire Advances Across Italy's Monte Serra

The Italian Red Cross said on Tuesday, September 25, said a vegetation wildfire in the province of Pisa had been blown out of control by adverse winds.

Local reports said 500 people were evacuated from the region, with schools closed as a precaution.

The flames, fanned by gusts of wind, were first reported at around 10pm on September 24 on Mount Serra in the commune of Calci, local news site TGCOM24 reported.
