As Blue Monday creeps up on us, businesses in the city centre have banded together to give away hundreds of products. Attempting to wash away the winter blues, Liverpool BID Company has organised giveaways and entertainment to put a smile on everyone's face.

This year will include live music outside commuter train stations, including Moorfields, James Street and Liverpool Central. Exchange Flags will also see a pastry and banana giveaway, along with a creative tote bag hub.

One of the most popular activities last year returns with the flower bouquet giveaway for a member of staff. Businesses can nominate a colleague who will then have flowers delivered straight to their desk.

We know much more about mental health and wellbeing than we used to, and it’s important for us to know there is a community around us on those days we need a little lift.”
