Hunt to find seven men after serious night attack in Chelmsford city centre

Police officers are working to identify seven men in connection with a serious assault last December. The incident reportedly occurred in Duke Street in Chelmsford city centre at roughly 3am on December 14.

The victim sustained several injuries as a result of the attack. Officers have carried out a thorough investigation so far and are now appealing for the public's help identifying seven people that they want to speak to.

Officers are urging anyone who might have witnessed the assault or knows any information about it to come forward. Please quote incident number 157 of 14 December with any information.

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "We want to speak to anyone who can identify seven men we want to speak to in connection with a serious assault in December. The incident reportedly occurred in Duke Street in Chelmsford at approximately 3am on 14 December 2024.

"The victim sustained several injuries as a result of the attack. Our officers have carried out a thorough investigation, and are now in a position to appeal for the public’s help identifying seven individuals we wish to speak to in connection with this incident.

"We urge anyone who may have witnessed the assault or possesses any information that could assist the investigation to come forward. Please quote incident number 157 of 14 December with any information.
