The Hyperkin SmartBoy can transofrm your iPhone into a Nintendo GameBoy, says its maker.

'We wanted to create a retro device that can be easily adapted into any modern gamer's arsenal of devices,' said Hyperkin's product developer, Chris Gallizzi.

The product will only work with the iPhone 6 Plus to start with, but compatibility with other models is set to follow, with the makers reportedly working on Android and Windows device along with Apple gadgets.

The SmartBoy will come in the familiar '80s grey' of the original gadget, with more colours to follow. It will feature an eight-way D-pad, two action buttons, start and select buttons and an built-in battery that can be charged through the phone. Games will be visible on the iPhone's own screen.
