Timelapse footage shows a stunning aurora glistening over Ghost Lake, Alberta, from February 26 to 27.

The footage, recorded by Alberta-based photographer Siv Heang Tav, shows a starry sky being illuminated by the vibrant green and purple display of the northern lights.

Tav said she was “completely hypnotized” by the light show and spent the night with her friend watching the spectacle until the clouds rolled in during the early hours of Monday morning. Credit: Siv Heang Tav via Storyful
