Ice Covers Lake Michigan Lighthouse as Temperatures Plunge

Ice coated a beacon and lighthouse in St Joseph, Michigan, on January 6 as the region was hit with below-freezing temperatures.

The temperature in St Joseph dipped to a low of 15 degrees Fahrenheit on January 6, according to the National Weather Service.

The NWS issued a winter storm warning for St Joseph and surrounding towns, to remain in place until 4 p.m. EST. According to their forecast, the area can expect three to seven more inches of snow thanks to heavy lake-effect snow.
