An ice cream museum is coming to London

Londoners are in for a real (sweet) treat because Britain’s first interactive ice cream exhibition is arriving in the capital in June.

This summertime exhibition celebrating the nation’s favourite frozen food will feature a range of never-before-seen artefacts including vintage equipment and Victorian ice cream moulds, as well as the largest collection of historic ice cream paraphernalia.

They’ll also be a tribute to the Queen of all things frozen, Agnes B. Marshall, who not only patented the ice cream machine but also originally came up with the idea of using liquid nitrogen to create ice cream in the late 1800s.

The British Museum of Food has launched a crowdfunding page to make this delectable project happen and promised that anyone who pledges to the event will not only secure free tickets but will also have their name feature on the museum’s unique Patron’s Wall of Frozen Fame.

The brains behind the pop-up project, Bompas and Parr, hope to bring a high immersive ice cream experience to fans of the frozen dessert.
