Ice Jam on Yukon River Floods Alaskan Town

An ice jam on the Yukon River caused a flood in the town of Circle, Alaska, on May 11.

Drone footage taken by the Alaska-Pacific River Forecast Center of the National Weather Service (NWS) shows the river covered in chunks of ice and parts of the town flooded. The NWS reiterated its flood warning for Circle on May 11. Credit: NWS APRFC via Storyful
