Parts of Illinois woke up to bitter cold and ice on Sunday, January 9, as blustery conditions and wind chills froze the region.
A resident of Roscoe demonstrated how icy his driveway was by sliding a hockey puck down the frozen asphalt on Sunday morning.
The National Weather Service (NWS) said the ice would remain through Sunday as temperatures only got lower. In nearby Rockford, the temperature fell 15 degrees in just three hours, the NWS said. Credit: @Lincoln22WX via Storyful
