Iceland is giving shoppers five items for £5 at supermarket till

Iceland has made a huge change to over 100 products this summer. Iceland is launching the offers as new research revealed that more than three quarters (77%) of parents wished supermarkets were doing more to support them during the school holidays.

The frozen food specialist's new deals include five for £5 on a range of fridge filling products, eight for £10 on Birds Eye products, and half price on much loved big brand items such as TGI Fridays, Heinz, and Cathedral City.

Iceland's research found that families spend an additional £62.00 a week per child on food alone during the summer break. For the average two child household in the UK, this means parents are spending a whopping £744.00 extra over the summer holidays.

Richard Walker, Executive Chairman at Iceland Foods, told the Mirror: "We understand the pressures that parents are under, especially during the school holidays. At Iceland, we’re committed to supporting families by offering great value deals that make it easier to get through this challenging period.

"We want parents to know that they can rely on us to provide the quality and affordability they need." The deals include Dairylea Chicken & Cheese Lunchers, 68.3g - £1.55, Dairylea Ham & Cheese Lunchers, 74.1g - £1.55 and Muller Frijj Chocolate Milkshake, 330ml - £1.70.

Muller Frijj Strawberry Milkshake, 330ml - £1.70, Robby Fromage Frais 6 Pack - £1.25 and Richmond Ready to Eat Minis, 63g - £1.30 are also included alongside Fridge Raiders Cheesy Nacho Chicken Breast Poppers, 68g - £1.25, Fridge Raiders Garlic & Herb Chicken Breast Poppers, 68g - £1.25 and McCain Fries to Go, 90g - £1.25.

Examples of the half price offers include Piccolino 370G Spaghetti Carbonara – Was £3.50 - Now £1.75 as well as Yo! 150G Tempura Prawns, Yo! 270G Katsu Chicken Fillets and other Yo! items like the 400G Korean Fried Chicken, Yo! 400G Teriyaki Fried Chicken and Yo! 200G Duck Gyoza.

Cathedral City 8 Pack Cheesy Dogs and Heinz 455G Beanz & Sausage Pizza are also listed.
