Iconic Cornish cider named UK's favourite
A Cornish cider brand has been named the UK's most beloved. Rattler Cyder topped other leading apple cider brands to secure its place as the nation’s preferred choice for the second year in a row.
It came out top in a nationwide survey of more than 96,000 people by Savanta, which tracks brand, customer, and market insights in the UK. Consumers were asked for their opinion on various drink brands - with ‘love’ being the highest endorsement option. The survey also ranked Rattler as 46th in the top 100 most loved drink brands in the UK - beating big names like Guinness (52nd) and Bulmers (81st).
Rattler is produced at Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm in Truro. Founded in 1980 by Kay and David Healey, it has grown from a small family venture into one of the region's biggest drinks producers, attracting 100,000 visitors every year to orchard tours, tastings, and interactive activities.

Makers say the drink's appeal stems from its "bold flavour and unmistakable Cornish roots", with a "refreshing and vibrant taste".
The cider now comes in ten varieties including original, mango, tropical, berry and a festive winter mulled Rattler as well as a low-alcohol option Rattler Zero.
Caitlin Kilpatrick, brand executive at Savanta, said: "The most loved brands are associated with popularity and particularly market leadership. One element of a quality brand image is the perception that the product is made with attention, using the best ingredients by people who care.
"Being distinctive is more important than being ‘different’. At point of purchase a brand must stand out so that buyers can easily identify it – with colours, logos, taglines, or even sounds."
