Glasgow west end street closed over 'dangerous' Glasgow University building
A Glasgow west end street has been closed over fears surrounding a 'dangerous building'.
Glasgow City Council has said a section of road between Ashton Lane North and Ashton Road has been closed while crews access the safety of a University of Glasgow building. However, bars, restaurants and shops on the lane say they are still open for business as usual.
It is understood concerns were raised about the a parapet on the Molema Building on Ashton Lane.

A spokesman for the council said: “Our building standards team has been notified by staff from Glasgow University of their concerns about the condition of a parapet on the Molema Building on Ashton Lane.
“A road closure between Ashton Lane North and Ashton Road is now in place to protect public safety while Glasgow University undertakes work to make safe their building.”
