Iconic rapper Fatman Scoop, 53 tragically dies after collapsing on stage

Fatman Scoop, the much-loved rapper, has sadly died at the age of 53.

The iconic rapper had been performing at a free gig in Connecticut, USA, just hours before his tragic death.

Clips on social media show him delivering some of his biggest hits topless, shortly before his death.

His tour manager Birch Michael, also known as Pure Cold, confirmed the news in a statement, saying: "It is with the heaviest of hearts I announced the passing of Isaac Freeman III, known professionally as Fatman Scoop," a statement posted to Instagram read.

"You taught me how to be the man I am today. I love you Scoop, Thank you so much for everything you gave to me."

Pure Cold continued to honour his friend and colleague Isaac in the photo's caption stating, "I am honestly lost for words..", reports OK!

He shared his gratitude by saying, "You took me all over the world and had me performing alongside you on some of the biggest and greatest stages on this planet, the things you taught me have truly made me the man I am today."

The tragic incident occurred at Town Centre Park in Hamden, Connecticut, when the star suddenly collapsed mid-show leading to chaos among fans.
