Ideas wanted to help shape upcoming family attraction in Scunthorpe
People are being asked for their ideas on what they want to see from a new free family-friendly attraction in Scunthorpe town centre.
Discover@2021 is set to open in spring 2025 at the former St John's Church, with plans unveiled for the site revealing a stunning suspended dome as the show-stopping centrepiece.
The attraction will feature interactive stations where children can use science, technology, engineering, art, and maths skills to control giant levers, solve puzzles and project their creations onto the huge dome and other surfaces, changing their surroundings in amazing ways.

Cllr Rob Waltham, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: "This free family-friendly attraction will be a massive boost, not just to families, but to the wider region as well.
"Discover@20-21 is our latest multi-million-pound investment to transform Scunthorpe town centre and will offer a vibrant, welcoming environment for our children and young teens bringing what they learn in school to life in inventive ways.
"We really want to hear from our young visitors and their families about what hands-on activities they want to see. This is their space, and by working together we can make sure Discover is a fun, inspiring place for all."
The plans are being developed by North Lincolnshire Council and Yorkshire-based visitor experience designers, The Creative Core. The award-winning designers are set to create an accessible area that can be enjoyed by the widest array of visitors.
Councillor John Davison, cabinet member for community wellbeing (urban Ashby, Bottesford and Scunthorpe), said: "I'm excited that we can finally share the amazing concept we've been working hard on for Discover@2021 with families. The plans look fantastic and will enable children to express their creativity in a host of ingenious ways.
