I’m A Celebrity: EastEnders’ Jake Wood To Appear In 2015 Series?

So, EastEnders’ Jake Wood has basically said that he kind of fancies going into the I’m A Celebrity jungle to munch on animals’ funny bits, and WE DON’T THINK THAT WE ARE EMOTIONALLY READY.

The nation’s long-running ‘weird crush’ already dazzled us with his snake hips when he took part in last year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing, and the potential to have him on our telly screens every single night for three weeks is just too much to handle.

In fact, we might need to have a lay down before we full-on swoon.

The soap star, who plays lovable rouge Max Branning in ‘Enders, is set to take a year-long break from the show and has admitted that he would be more than up for jetting to the Aussie outback for part of that break.

Asked if he’d ever appear on ‘I’m A Celeb’, Jake shared: “Yeah, I do really like that show.

“And everyone I’ve spoken to who’s done it has said they really enjoyed it. I’m not squeamish, so eating strange stuff wouldn’t bother me.”

That already puts him one step ahead of EastEnders/ I’m A Celeb alumni Dean Gaffney then.

When asked by Radio Times Magazine if taking part in the show would be his way of showing the world the real Jake Wood, the 43-year-old babe added: “In some ways, yes.

“But it would be a good holiday for the family as well, wouldn’t it? And the money would be nice.

“But I think the main appeal is that it’s a different experience.”

You can certainly say that again.

Opening up about the reason behind his lengthy break from EastEnders, Jake dished: “I’ll have done 987 episodes by the time I go.

“Max has had a very hectic nine years, so I think both he and I need this break.”

Well, with Max looking at being wrongly imprisoned for the murder of Lucy Beale, we doubt that he’ll enjoy his break quite as much as Jake will…
