I'm A Celebrity jungle owner in court for trashing ITV's set

You’d think land owner Craig Parker would be more than happy getting a few quid in exchange for the use of his creepy-crawly ridden jungle, wouldn’t you?

Apparently not.

The 50-year-old Aussie has an increasingly strained relationship with the I’m A Celebrity bosses – and even found himself ARRESTED for trashing the show’s set and allegedly slapping a security guard.

Speaking outside court, Parker blasted ITV as “d***heads” and said he wasn’t sorry for his actions, which included breaking a window and lashing out when the show’s security later confronted him at his home.

“It was a joke really,” he told The Sun as he left the courthouse in Murwillumbah, near to where the show is filmed. “I just went over to him and slapped him like that, and said wake up yourself big fella. You put 600 people on site, you’re going to get a few d***heads aren’t you?”

So what’s the problem? Well, Craig has been at loggerheads with ITV over renewing the contract to use his land on the show, which runs out in February. He’s apparently fed up with antics of the celebrities, and isn’t keen on the huge numbers of crew needed to film the show.

ITV have checked out a number of alternative locations, including a camp in Sydney and alternatives in South Africa, with no luck so far.

“I’ve never had a criminal record, no drink driving. Nah, nothing. I did what I felt was right. It was somebody abusing their job. I just broke a glass window. That’s it,” Parker added in his defence.

When the Sun asked if he was drunk when the incident took place, Parker replied: “Listen mate, it was Saturday night.”
