What did you miss?
I’m A Celebrity viewers were left sobbing at the sight of Danny Jones being reunited with his young son.
Fans found the latest episode of the jungle reality show very emotional as the campmates were visited by family members — including the McFly singer's son Cooper. Many viewers confessed they were already in tears after hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly showed the preview clip of what was coming up later in the show.
What, how, and why?
With just six celebrity contestants remaining in camp instead of receiving letters from home on Friday night's episode, 6 December, they were actually surprised with visits from their friends and family.
Jones was visited by wife Georgia, former Miss England, and their son six-year-old son Cooper. He told Jones: "I love you and I've missed you daddy. Luckily you haven't been voted out yet." WAG Coleen Rooney was visited by her mother and her two youngest sons, Kit and Cass. As she hugged her youngest son he wrinkled his nose and exclaimed: "She stinks!"
Strictly star Oti Mabuse was visited by her dancer husband Marius Lepure, and he brought her a vest worn by her one-year-old daughter.
Youtuber GK Barry was visited by her mum. She burst into tears and hugged her and asked "Do I smell?!" Reverend Richard Coles was visited by his brother Will and Coronation Street star Alan Halsall was also visited by his brother.

What did viewers say?
Viewers were already in tears from the very start of the episode.
One wrote on social media platform X: "it hasn’t even started yet and am already crying". Another said: "That very small of @itsDannyJones face seeing his family has already made me cry". Someone else tweeted: "Already crying knowing that they're all about to meet their loved ones". And another viewer posted: "nooo I'm already crying Danny's getting to see his baby I'm not ready".
And after the emotional scenes aired, the tears kept flowing. One viewer confessed: "Never in my life did I expect to cry at #ImACelebrity but that moment with Danny and Cooper reuniting got me in the feels." Another gushed: "marius bringing oti their daughters vest im actually sobbing". And someone else blubbed: "I haven’t cried this much since Rose said she would never let go Jack and then dumped him in the ocean. ITV what are you doing to us".
Some viewers felt the episode may be giving Jones unfair treatment by showing him with son.
One fumed: "ITV know exactly what they’re doing sending in Danny’s son". Another declared: "danny jones has had SUCH favouritism this series #imaceleb getting two people and getting his personal guitar with his kids drawings on it when everyone else got non personal things".
And someone else complained: "Coleen gets to see her mam and not all 4 of her boys but Danny gets his son and wife? not sure that’s fair".
But Rooney also was shown with her children, and viewers were both moved, and amused by her son's honesty.
One shared: "Colleen boys saying she stinks has killed me kids are hilarious". Another chuckled: "Kids are so brutally honest ‘she stinks’".
But some viewers felt all the emotion was too much.
One complained: "#ImACelebThis reunion episode is quite pathetic and at odds with the rest of the concept, especially when there is a couple of days to go.....those that get emotional, I wonder if you really understand what parting is..a couple of weeks and being paid does not constitute it...." And another moaned: "They react to meeting loved ones in #ImACeleb as if they’re reuniting at a hostage exchange after years of negotiations; instead of, you know, seeing someone they saw 2 and half weeks ago."
The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2024 final airs at 9pm on Sunday, 8 December ITV1, STV and ITVX.
