I’m A Celebrity: Wayne Bridge and Martin Roberts Exit The Camp In Shocking Double Elimination

Shock -waves are presumably still rippling through the jungle this morning, after Ant and Dec devastated the I’m A Celebrity camp by revealing that not one, but TWO celebrities would be heading home on Friday night.

The unlucky pair turned out to be none other than Wayne Bridge and Martin Roberts – with both of them praising the experience.

On his exit, Martin told Ant and Dec that the jungle experience had “surpassed my expectations. The people, the experience, how it affects you in ways you would have never imagined.”

The producers made the move to shift both Martin and Wayne - the sixth and fifth camp-mates to exit respectively – to make room in camp for the all-important final on Sunday.

But whilst the pair praised their experience of the jungle, they were also quick to point out its pitfalls. For Wayne, it was being away from his family: “I had such a good time but I was so nervous about coming in. And literally everyone in there has made it such a pleasure.”

“I spend every day with the kids and the missus and I found it really hard. I’ll probably get ripped when I get out of here for crying on television but it is what it is.”

“I didn’t expect to have such a good time but it was so difficult,” added Wayne. “I found it so hard and I’ll probably be getting ripped for crying on TV.”

Martin admitted that he hadn’t expected it to be so full-on so quickly. "It was always going to be a difficult thing to break into [when he came into the jungle late]. There were things I wasn’t expecting and it got quite tough quite quickly.

“It goes back to this thing about wanting to be loved and liked by people, which comes from being badly bullied at school. And when you go into a group of people, you overcompensate and if you’re just yourself then people get to [see the real you].”

Aww, Martin! You’re breaking our hearts here.

Scarlett Moffat still remains on course to be the favourite to win – after receiving the backing of both Wayne and Martin last night.
