Anne Hegerty appeared to insult Holly Willoughby’s presenting style when she made an appearance on This Morning.

In an unearthed clip from the start of the year, Hegerty made it clear whose presenting style she preferred when she was asked to give an opinion about The Chase host Bradley Walsh.

“I’ve been watching you two for years and nobody can be as good as Bradley,” the quiz mistress known as ‘The Governess’ claimed.

“Apologies, but nobody can be as good as Brad,” she added.

As Willoughby burst out laughing, Phillip Schofield feigned shock when he retorted: “Wow! That came out of nowhere. I wasn’t expecting that. Anyway, thanks for coming in.”

Hegerty clearly realised she’d made a bit of a misstep and reassured Willoughby that she was still ‘quite good.’

However, there appeared to be no hard feelings between the pair when the Governess took part in her first Bushtucker trial on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here.

In fact, Hegerty made the This Morning presenter laugh when she made a joke about how she did during the task.

“That took guts,” Holly stated, before Anne remarked: “Yeah, fish guts” which led Willoughby to start giggling.

During her time in the jungle, Hegerty has been praised for opening up about having Asperger’s.

Speaking to EastEnders actress Rita Simons, she said: “I didn’t raise the autism issue. It’s not like: ‘I want you to know I have this interesting disability that you have to accommodate’.”

“If someone else raises it then I make it quite clear that I’m happy to talk about it.”

As Simons listened, Hegerty later thanked her jungle campmate for being understanding.

Talking to the cameras, she said: “I really appreciate how nice and sympathetic they’ve been to me. It was nice that they said I pick up on social cues because I’m never quite sure that I entirely do. I just get overwhelmed with all the things there are to do.”
