I'm A Celeb camp punished in first week after breaking ITV show rule

The camp on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! have already been punished after breaking the show's rules within the first week.

The star-studded line-up, which includes Tulisa Contostavlos, Danny Jones from McFly, radio host Dean McCullough, ex-boxing champ Barry McGuigan, WAG Coleen Rooney and DJ Melvin Odoom, entered the camp on Sunday.

The celebrities would have been aware that 'contraband' items were a no-go in the jungle, but it seems some of them couldn't resist sneaking in a few banned items. Makeup, beauty products, food (even seasoning) and other luxury goods are among the list of forbidden items.

During the latest episode, Dean sneakily pulled out a tea bag from his stash of contraband and popped it into the morning's hot water. The 32-year-old then served up the tea to his fellow campmates, who were initially puzzled but soon twigged what he was up to.

Thinking they'd got away with it, the group toasted to a good day and enjoyed their illegal brew. But little did they know, the ITV show's producers were already plotting their punishment.

Later in the show, new arrivals Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles found themselves dumped in the Jungle Junkyard for their first challenge.

They were tasked to convince Melvin that life in the junkyard is far from easy, despite its hidden luxuries.

Melvin was given the task of filling a bucket with offal, unaware that Maura and Richard were not assisting him in the challenge but instead enjoying a cuppa.

Despite going solo, the DJ triumphed in the challenge and anticipated bringing 10 cupcakes back to camp, but Dean's rule-breaking antics finally had repercussions for the team.

Melvin soon discovered that he could only bring back five cupcakes as a penalty for the morning's contraband punishment.

Upon his return to the group, the 44-year-old disclosed the punishment and declared that all contraband should be surrendered to the Bush Telegraph.

Dean handed over his tea bags, but a shocking twist revealed he wasn't the sole offender. Melvin had also smuggled in food seasoning and shared it with Tulisa, although the singer admitted she hadn't used it yet.

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! returns tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
